ADVISORY BOARD OF WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, DECATUR COUNTY, INDIANA NOTICE OF SALE OF REAL ESTATE

Notice is hereby given that the Advisory Board of Washington Township, Decatur County, Indiana shall
offer real estate for sale to the highest bidder at the Lincoln Street Business Center Conference Room,
1030 N Lincoln Street, Greensburg, IN. Entrance to the conference room is through the hallway on the
south end of the building.

The sale will be held on Friday, May 17 at 11:30 am through a sealed bid process. Bids will be open to
public inspection upon opening by the Township Trustee.

The sale will consist of sixteen (16) parcels of land containing no structures, all located at Lake McCoy in
Decatur County. Each parcel will be sold individually. No parcels will be combined and no bids will be
accepted for the entire list of parcels. These parcels have two taxing rates – the Tax unit rate and a
Conservancy rate.

Persons interested in bidding on the properties must register prior to Wednesday, May 15 at 12:00 pm
at the township office located at 1030 N Lincoln Street, Suite 1400, Greensburg, IN 47240.

Bids will be received beginning on May 1, 2024 and will be accepted until May 16, 2024 at 12:00pm. All
bids must be received in a sealed envelope and delivered in person or received by mail prior to
Thursday, May 16 at 12:00 pm.

All persons submitting a bid must be free of any delinquent property tax liability to Decatur County. No
one who owes delinquent property taxes will be allowed to bid on or purchase the real estate. Nor can
anyone acting as a representative on their behalf bid on or purchase the real estate.

Property will be sold to the highest bidder. However, the Advisory Board reserves the right to accept or
reject any bid.

All bids accepted by the Advisory Board will be final and payment in full of certified funds will be
required from the purchaser by 5:00 pm on the day of the sale. New property deeds will be prepared
by the township attorney within a week after the sale. Purchaser shall resume and pay all property taxes
incurred on or after May 17, 2024.

All property will be sold “As-Is”. A title search will be the responsibility of the purchaser.

The Township does not warrant the accuracy of the street address or common description of the
property.
